Ambassador Manoukian’s visit to Autonomous Republic of Adjara

Within the framework of the celebrations of 21st anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia and in order to meet the Armenian community in Adjara the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of RA in Georgia has visited Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

On September 29, in the morning, the Ambassador of RA and diplomatic staff of the embassy participated in liturgy given by ecclesiastical pastor The Father Ararat Gumbalyan in Armenian Apostolic Church of  St. Savior of Batumi. 

     

 

 

The same day, the embassy of RA in Georgia organized the event on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia in “House of Friendship” of Batumi, which was attended by representatives of youth and women's organizations “Our home: Georgia” and “Our future”, union of Armenians of Adjara, Church Sunday school pupils, activists in community life.

The event was also attended by the newly appointed consul general of RA in Batumi Aram Grigoryan.

     

     

 

The Ambassador Manoukian presented the newly appointed General Consul of RA, emphasized his skill and experience in the field of diplomacy and expressed hope, that the newly appointed General Consul will give new impulse to the work of diplomacy representation and particularly will contribute to the cultural and spiritual advancement of the Armenian community in Adjara.

The Ambassador highly assessed the regular contacts between the Armenian community in Adjara and diplomacy representation of RA in Georgia, highlighted the further systematic cooperation and Georgian-Armenian community’s role in the development of friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia.

General Consul of the Republic of Armenia to Batumi Aram Grigoryan, leaders of community organizations and ecclesiastical pastor of the Armenians Adjara The Father Ararat Gumbalyan delivered a speech of welcome.

Within the framework of event awarded diplomas, certificates and encouraging rewards of the embassy of RA in Georgia were given to a numerous representatives of Armenian community of Adjara.

     

                              

At the end of event Church Sunday school and choir pupils performed a concert.
