Lev Bayakhchev’s paintings exhibition in Tbilisi

On November 2, 2012, in Tbilisi, in «Vanda Art Gallery» held the opening ceremony of the exhibition of Lev Bayakhchev’s paintings, one of the most famous representatives and followers of  Armenian traditional portrait school in Georgia. The exhibition was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian.

Lev Bayakhchev from Tbilisi was born on September 7, 1930. In 1959 he graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts. In the years 1974-97 were organized eight personal exhibitions in Tbilisi. In 1985, his exhibition was held in Moscow and in 1991 in Germany. Bayakhchev’s works are stored in the State Art Museum of Georgia, the museum of modern art in the United States, as well as in private collections in Tbilisi, Yerevan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kharkov, United States, Argentina, Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Greece.
