I learned the news about Anahit Bostanjyan’s unexpected death with deep sorrow.

Mrs. Anahit, of course, was one the most famous, most talented and brightest figures of the Armenian community in Georgian. Her lyrical poems, sample translations, readings have not left any reader or listener indifferent.

Her social activity was especially valuable for me as the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, the lion's share of which was devoted to the strengthening of friendship and love between the Armenian and Georgian peoples and the creative part was aimed at closing ties between the two nations’ literatures.

Anahit Bostanjyan’s contribution to building a "bridge" of friendship between the Armenian and Georgian peoples highly appreciated both by the Armenia and Georgia, the evidences of which was Georgian "Badge of Honor" and Armenian "Movses Khorenatsi" medals granted to her.

I express my deep condolences to Mrs. Anahit's family, friends and readers, and I mourn together with them the premature death of an honorary member of the Armenian community in Georgia.
