We hereby inform you that on May 11, 2026, the Republic of Armenia adopted the Law “On Identity Documents,” which provides for the introduction of a new biometric system for identity documents in the Republic of Armenia.

In connection with the introduction of the new system and for the purpose of organizing the transition process, starting from October 5, 2026, the provision of passport issuance (replacement) services through the Embassies and Consular Offices of the Republic of Armenia, including via video link, will be temporarily suspended.

Additional information regarding the dates for resuming the provision of this service will be published on the official information platforms of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia.
