A recital devoted to the well-known poet and translator Givi Shakhnazari

On May 10, 2012 in the Centre for Cultural Relations – “Caucasian House” in Tbilisi was held an evening dedicated to the well-known poet and translator Givi Shakhnazari, the winner of the Literary Award “Galaktion Tabidze” and the holder of "Mashtots" medal.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, the Primate of Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, representatives of Armenian clergy and the Armenian community of Georgia.

In the program of recital were included musical and literary performances.

About the activities of Givi Shakhnazari was telling the director of the "Caucasian House" Naira Gelashvili and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, who, in particularly, praised the indispensable role of Givi Shakhnazari in deepening the Armenian-Georgian friendship. In a token of commemoration of many years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity of Givi Shakhnazari, his contribution to the education of young people's and creative work in the field of translation, as well as his contribution to the literary sphere, the Ambassador of Armenia presented him the Certificate of Merit of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia.

During the evening the Ambassador of Armenia gave an interview to some Georgian TV channels.
