Cultural events in Tbilisi dedicated to Armenia's chairmanship of Council of Europe

On September 12, Embassy of RA to Georgia and the office of Council of Europe organized an evening concert in Tbilisi dedicated to Armenia's chairmanship of Council of Europe.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Georgian government, diplomatic community and non-government organizations.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of RA to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, Head of the Office of Council of Europe in Georgia Caterina Bolognese, the Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia Rati Bregadze had welcoming speeches at the event.             

In the frames of the event, reference was made to CE programme “No Hate Speech Movement”; in this regard, Ambassador Manoukian particularly mentioned: “Our task is to say "NO" to hatred, intolerance and discrimination and to fight against the roots of these phenomena in all possible ways”.

In his speech Ambassador of RA to Georgia mentioned that Armenia was actively engaged in activities held by Council of Europe, for example, in works of expert committees of intergovernmental cooperation and always acts with the initiatives, which have important value for the activity and functioning of the organization.

The participants of the event were amazed by the art of ensemble “Mikael Voskanyan and friends, especially invited from Armenia by the Embassy of RA to Georgia.
