Visit of RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan to Georgia

           On May 20 the delegation headed by RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan was on a two day visit to Georgia.

In the frame of the visit RA Minister of culture had a conversation with the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Guram Odisharia which was followed by the meeting of the representatives of the respective delegations of the two countries in an expanded composition. The directions and formats of the cooperation between the two countries and the process of the projecting and reconstructing works in the field of cultural heritage preservation were discussed, as well as the projects of the bilateral joint cultural events in the spheres of film, theatre, fine arts and literature were clarified at the meeting.

The delegation headed by Minister Hasmik Poghosyan visited National Gallery of Georgia and Georgian State Museum of Theatre, Music, Cinema and Choreography. During her visit to Georgia RA Minister of Culture laid flowers at Parajanov's monument situated in the old square of Tbilisi.  

On May 21 Minister Hasmik Poghosyan together with the primate of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, with senior officials of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Chargé d’Affaires of RA Vahagn Afyan visited St. Gevorg and St. Nshan churches in Tbilisi and learnt of the process of the reconstructing works of the churches on site. Accompanied by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, the Armenian delegation also visited Tbilisi Open Air Museum of Ethnography.

 In the frame of the visit RA Minister of Culture had a meeting with the administrative staff of Tbilisi State Armenian Dramatic Theatre named after P. Adamyan.
