Event dedicated to the 176th anniversary of birth of Ghazaros Aghayan in the Georgian village Bolnis-Khachen

On May 13, a commemorative event took place in the village Bolnisi-Khachen on the occasion of the 176th birth anniversary of the great Armenian writer, pedagogue, and publicist Ghazaros Aghayan. The event was organized by the support of the Armenian Writers' Union "Vernatun" in Tbilisi and the administration of Bolnisi.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia and Armenian community organizations, many other Georgian-Armenians. Welcoming remarks were made by the Second Secretary of the Embassy Elina Mkrtchyan, The newly-appointed Pastor of Armenians in Kvemo Kartli region Rev. Father Virap Ghazaryan, poet and translator Givi Shakhnazari, editor of the newspaper "Vrastan" Van Bayburtyan and the editor of the yearbook "Kamurj", poet Anahit Bostanjyan.

The event ended with the literary-musical performance of the students of "Hayartun" Center and the children of school of Bolnis-Khachen.
